I own a Indica DLS which I bought last year. I met with an Accident in Oct. and have sent my Car for Repair to Pandit Automotives (Pune). I sent my car on 16th Oct 2006 for repair work. From that day till today I have been asking for Estimate of repair work of my car. I have been getting in touch almost daily with the manager and asking him about the condition of my car and which parts needs to be replaced. But I got no response from Pandit Automotives. Than on 9th Dec 2006 I again went to workshop to get a shock of my life that they have made a proforma Invoice of 1,88,000.00 (One Lakh Eighty Eight Thousand Rupees). No one have informed me or taken my approval before doing so many repairs. Then I checked with Insurance company (I had a Cashless Insurance with ICICI Lombard) and even they said that approval was not taken from them before doing any repairs. They have sanctioned just a amount of 95000.00 as for other repairs approval was not taken from ICICI Lombard. There are many parts which are changed in my Car and as per Insurance companies Surveyer these parts were without any damage and should not have been changed but still they were changed without showing it to anyone nor taking any approval. Few have suggested me to go to a Consumer Court as I have all the proofs and points/details on my side. But I feel I should first check this with Tata Motors before going to Consumer Court. Please check this case on priority and advise otherwise I have no choice but to go to consumer court.
Pls also note that I have been paying my Installment from past 2 months without using it.
