Sub : Starting problem of the new Tata Indica Xeta 1400cc with CNG fitting by company’s (Dhingra Motors ) dealer.
My husband had the opportunity of going in for your brand new Tata Indica Xeta 1400cc Lagoon blue from Dhingra Motors, Gurgaon on 29th Nov, 2006 as a Birthday gift for me. On bringing the car home in evening the next day this car took an additional self to start which I was taken by surprise.
This turned into shock when with each passing day the number of self for ignition increased only on the first starts any time in the day. I verbally brought this to the notice of Dhingra Motors for which one gentleman replied that this happens with some new cars or we should take it to the service center. I was not convinced with his reasoning as I also happen to have experienced driving other cars of various segments. Although the car was finally sent to their service center as it refused to start the next day. The car was observed and checked and declared no problem(GOD knows!!!!!!) after 2-3 days and from they’re sent for CNG fitting to their dealer. After this fitting when we started the car next day again the same problem. We observed the car for a day or two more and then finally had to send it again to the service center.
Practically in the last 30 days about 15 – 18 days the car has been lying with these people. We were told that some chip would be replaced. After a long wait I got the car as TROUBLE FREE!!!!!! To find out that next day it will not start again. I could only get reminded of the era of 70’s when my father would be trying to start the car this way. But today with the new technology and new cars you don’t expect an old era experience. Also think of someone who with great pride wants to keep an Indian Car. I have only managed to use my car only for about 10 days ( what an expensive b’day gift) with the additional headache of wasting my time dropping and picking and starting the new car.
Presently for my use I have no car except sharing my husbands Scorpio. Since the car has been so long with the service center I am beginning to worry about other things of the car( well you are intelligent enough to understand!!!).
I think this piece of car has some problem or the service center guys are not trained and responsible enough to handle problems. I no longer want this vehicle in my house any more. Therefore I request for refund of my money from your dealer---DHINGRA MOTORS plus the loss of my precious working hours and the trouble suffered by this inconvenience.
I think TATA MOTORS has to come up to the expectations of the Indians so that they feel confident in buying their car.
