Dear Sir or Madam:
I am a traveller with Air Sahara and wish to complain about an unfortunate incident regarding double charges for a single flight.
I bought a paper ticket for flight from Mumbai to Patna on December 27, 2006 and return from Patna to Mumbai on January 05, 2007 (flight number S2227 and S2228). When I boarded the plane in Mumbai on December 27, the reservation personnel tore both my coupons and returned the jacket with shows my flight itinerary. I was not aware of this error on part of Air Sahara until I had to board the flight from Patna on January 05, 2007 by flight S2228.
The Air Sahara reception will not let me board the flight from Patna even though I showed my paper ticket with the travel itinerary. I had to purchase another ticket worth Rs. 13,390.00.
This has caused me a lot of inconvenience and had to pay for the same flight two times. I have attached the scanned copies of both the paper ticket and e-ticket for the same person, same day and same flight.
An airline which wants to reach out to new customers should keep the convenience of the customers as the first priority. The Air Sahara personnel accepted the mistake of the airline, but were not ready to let me board the flight without a new ticket. They did not want to make it convenient for me at all stating that they could not change Company policy. Being a private airline I expect a better response and responsibility. The response that I received reminds me more of a government agency (which is recent times has improved considerably too!).
Please respond to my contact information at the end of this email at the earliest.
