Sir,

I had purchased a journey ticket having PNR No. 425-4140421, for a Train having No. 1098 dated 01-05-2007, leaving train from KANKAUDI TO PUNE. When ticket was booked it was listed in waiting list. I was enquiring the waiting status of subject ticket in Mangalore on Phone 131 and I was given answer to contact 139 for the same. I had tried 139 at least 10 times from various telephones, however I got answer that this phone No. is not in use. Finally again I enquired with 131 and the person got blasted on me and abused in Kannada language. He was not ready to listen the real problem. Finally I had decided to cancel the ticket and purchased the ticket of Private Bus coach and due to high season I had to pay exorbitant charges.

Solution of your complaintMy request is that I 1) Indian railways should have a seperate audit deparment to assesss how services are provided to customers. 2) The person who is providing service should listen the complaint and act accordingly. ( In may case he should have experienced himself by dialling 139 and if it beyond his capacity he should have informed to his superiors. After all customer is to be treated as a GOD. Whehter ticket is confirmed or not is seperate issue.
ActionI have great confidence in Mr. Lalu Prasad Yadavji who is incharge of the Indian Railways and he is doing amazing improvements in Indian Railways (in past history of India no Railway Minister has shown such Interest in bringing change in such Huge Organisation), which are now can be compared with International Railways. I am sure if this complaint goes to him, his associates will resolve the same in best manner. Normally Institutions like HDFC, ICICI, LIC etc the complaints are resolved on phone on same day. I feel in my case there is no absolute problem if more terminals are kept for the same. The complaint station should have been Nationwide than Statewise or city wise. I pray god that Mr. Laluji should get Long Life and Prime Ministership to change Image of India in world. Regards A.R.LIMAYE PLOT 499, SECTOR 25 NIGDI- PRADHIKARN PUNE - 411 044.
