I have purchased e-ticket online on 10 August 2006 for my parents. Date of journey was 26/09/2006. They were suppose to travel from Bangalore to Nagpur.Due to health problem of my father they couldnot travel on 26/09/2006. However I informed to the customer care before the time of departure of the train (on the same day, i.e.26/09/2006). Concerned Person of IRCTC suggsted me to send written communication via email with all the relevant details.
As suggested by him I sent the written communication and Mr. Pankaj of IRCTC acknowleded the same.It was informed by him that they have forwarded my case to Indian Railway and they will revery back to me. I was continously following for the action taken by them, however no comunication was receieved from Mr. Pankaj. On 3rd December 2006 I received a mail from Mr. Narinder of IRCTC wherein he replied
"Please note that we received your mail and your refund will be processed through TDR (Ticket Deposit Receipt). Refund under this category is processed by the railways under the present commercial rules and this process takes minimum 90 days or more.Once the refund is received from therailways the balance will be credited to your account."
However till date I have not recieved any refund.
|Solution of your complaint||Minimum 50% of the ticket amount should be returned to me. |
|Action||I would like to escalate it to consumer court. |
