I, Jitu Burman, M-25 Sriniwaspuri Pvt. Colony, 2nd floor, New Delhi- 110 065; took a phone connection from Tata Indicom (Ph: 011-65379879) in April, 2005 by duly filling up a form mentioning my choice for 149 Tariff Plan (Rs 149/- towards monthly rental plus outgoing call charges extra).
In fact our every family member is using mobile phone and hence just to have a phone at residence for receiving incoming call (on emergency) was behind the installation of such connection at residence.
But sometime back without having any consent from me, Tata Indicom starts sending bill by imposing/ putting me under their 200 Tariff Plan. Initially I ignored their billing and kept on paying as per my previous terms i.e. 149 Tariff Plan. I also asked several times to their customer care department to lodge a complaint against these wrong billings. They confirmed that they forwarded the message to the concerned dept. electronically. ButÖÖ no change took place in billing.
I also got calls from collection department who literally forced me to pay as per their new tariff plan which I did not comply with.
Finally, last two days back they have disconnected my line although I have made till date each and every payment as per my previous agreed tariff plan .
Iím really surprised that now when the consumerís right can be well protected by laws, they really do not care about all these inscriptions (laws) and prefer to cheat/ harass the customer to fulfill their own interest.
I know that I can go for other connection from other vendor/ service provider but can hardly digest the pill whereas you people are probably in a position to render justice to me.
Iím expecting an exemplary action against them and heavy compensation (obviously a good figure- since they know this language very well) which will affect their backbone of earning of misappropriated amount from we like consumers.
