I sent a custom made piece of jewellery which has a huge sentimental value from California to Miami on May 1st, 2007 via Fedex Ground.
I tracked the package on the internet with the tracking # ( 468423153804323).
According to their record, my package arrived in Miami FL on May 5th and scheduled for the next business day deliveri upon late arrival, and because 5th is friday next delivery date is the following Monday, May 8th.
Since then noone could find where my package went. after hours of queries on the phone and internet the only thing i could find out that the package was put on a delivery truck on May 5th.
When i contacted customer service reps on the phone only thing they told me to file a complaint form so that it may be filed as "lost". noone tried to find my package and i have no idea how on the earth they dont know which truck they put the package or who removed it from their distrubution center.
we, i and the receiver, are deeply and furiously disappointed with Fedex and their aproach to out rightful search for our property.
After days of search Fedex sent us $107 which is less then what i spent for the phone bills in my search and the estimated value of jewellery was about $2000, not to mention its sentimental value as being a one-of-a-kind-custom made piece.
we will be more than happy if you can do something about this because Fedex officials seem to be ignorant of their own mistake.
