I have converted my morethan 3yrs simcard 9892881259 from prepaid to post paid .
2 nos at a time. the other is 9892910492 which is working. 2 seperate plans .
After a long delay of all formalities at ARC the new cards were issued and activated after a week delay for system fault. New cards activated realtionship manager calls and confirms his services.
I register on the net to find out that plans selected are not mentioned. some other plan favourable to airtel is mentioned. I lodge complaint and change the plan for 9892881259 to the nearest one marked on the form. plans on form and site and this logon service dont match. After some time some one calls to confirm what plan I have selected and I reply just check the form since i dont remember the plan. My phone gets deactivated after 2 hrs. I request them to furnish on what grounds they can deregister a simcard mail me a copy. I got 3 different answers. first only outgoing is barred. second you have changed the plan. Third your address is not confirmed go to ARC. after exchange of mails within next few days i get 2 common letters from airtel confirming the wrong plans which were favourable to them. Now today i get an email bill for the disconnected/deregistered simcard .

Solution of your complaintMy solution will be I want a copy of the trai guidelines which compels them to comply and authorise them to take such punitive actions and a copy of internal policy authorising their own staff to justify such an action. If the staff is justified I will be happy. What about my choice of plans... Discouraging me to change prepaid to postpaid and subsequent reasons of disconection. if found guilty staff should be penalised accordingly.
Actioni would like to hire an appropriate lawyer to suggest further cause of action. i would approach the Board of directors of the company. I would take up the matter with Cellular operator Association of India.
