Dear Sir, Dated: 14.07.2007
I am working as Field officer in a Life Insurance. Certainly, I did a blunder by buying a Maruti Wagon R VXI E3 from Maruti dealer Modern automobiles at AMBALA CITY. I registered a complaint with Maruti Udyog on dated July 7 at www.maruti udyog/Service/Problem in Vehicle. I lodged this complaint through e-mail. Later on, dated July 8 2007, I received a mail from Maruti Udyog ltd. that I would be attended by their Servicing Department shortly. Their authorized dealer Modern Automobiles on phone contacted me on July 12th and I was advised to bring my vehicle in any service station at AMBALA.
(DETAILS ABOUT PROBLEM IN TH CAR)
I purchased Wagon R VXI E3 on 24th Sept 2006 from Modern AMBALA. My car has run about 5000 Kms till now. On 30th June on the way coming back from Dalhousie on the road stretch from Pathankot to Jallandhar, which is full of potholes and bad road resulted bend in right side RIMS at two same distances that means the right side tyres crossed the potholes twice which resulted the bend in RIMS on right side. My car was with normal load comprising my family and me with normal luggage on board. On 2nd or 3rd the car was shown to Works Manager at Modern AMBALA, which at the first sight told me that, these rims couldn’t be changed under warranty, as my car is with 2 years warranty and also paid extended warranty of three years. I think the RIMS of the car of substandard material, which could not bore the impact of potholes and resulted in the inconvenience. I usually ply on this road and with my Maruti 800 since 1998 the bend in rims never happened with the same load and same road. These stretches always remain bad and with potholes as a part of road stretch comes under other state besides Punjab. During last eight years I never had this bad experience. If the impact was so high why was not there any other break down.
On 12th July Mr. Amit Malhotra inspected my car and after inspecting the car he also suggested me to replace the rims at your own cost, as it is not good to run car with the bens in the rim. What company will do will waive labour charges cum wheel balancing.
I AM NOT ABLE TO UNDERSTAND WHAT THE WARRANTY MEANS, IF THIS IS WARRANTY TO WAIVE LABOUR CHARGES IT IS RUBBISH AND MAKING FOOLOF A COUSTOMER.
