My husband was diagnosed with Alheizmers 2 years ago. He always handled the business of buying cars while I picked out the model and color. I handled this transaction and did a terrible job. When we went into Mr. Terrys office, I asked him what the factory warranty was - he mumbled something that I didnt understand. I paid $18,750.00 for the car with a down payment of $10,428.00. I owe $15,560.50. Mr. Terry held up paper work (1) was Safe-Gap for a small amount of money (2) was Road Hazard Tire and Wheel Protection (He said in case the wheels fall off (3) Vechicle Theft Security Program. I didnt understand that amount of money was times 72 months. He never explained that to me. I saw Vehicle Service Contract 72 mos/60,000 miles on the contract and assumed that was the factory warranty. I didnt know that cost $2,495.00. He had my husband sign the Vehicle Theft Security registration form. He said I didnt need to sign it. He didnt explain anything to me. I trusted Mr. Terry. I called him the next week and told him I did not want all those warranties. He wasnt very nice on the phone. I talked to the General Manager and he said I could have my money back. I went to Mr. Terrys office and told him I wanted my money back. He was furious. He had me sign a form that I would get my money back. He did not give me a copy of the form that I signed. He told me I would be sorry. I dont know what that meant. I called several times and talked to him and the General Manager. Mr. Terry told me it would take 3 months to get my money. I received a check July 25, 2005 for $2,335.25. I called Mr. Terry and asked him why the check wasnt for $5,671.00. He said they charged me fees and that was all that I was going to get back. I reminded him that he had told me I would get all my money back. He said rudely to me, "Youre always putting words in my mouth. I did not tell you that you would get all of your money back. We have to charge fees". Can you talk to Mr. Terry and see if I can get all my money back on those warranties. They are charging me $3,335.75 in fees. I dont think that is fair. I dont have Findlays e-mail. Its not on any of their cards or contract. Shirley Milkoff

Solution of your complaintTalk to Mr. Terry and have him give me my money back for warranties that I do not need or want. Tell him to go over each line with his customers and explain everything. If something is for 72 months - make sure they understand that. Also tell him to make sure he tells his customers what the factory warranty is - that should be told right up front.
