1. i opened up my salary account (a/c no - 021401502823 ) in 2004. a debit card was issued to me with an expiry date as 07/07 (Jul 07).
2. I called up bank helpline in jun 2007 askin for a new card, they said that i would recieve it latest by 15 jul 07 , as the card would be valid till 31 jul 07.
3. on 01 aug 07, it came to me as embarasment and shok when i produced my card for payment in a hotel, they said that card had already expired.
4. i rushed back and called up customer care for help....the guy on other end replied that my card was dispatched to me on 05 jul 07 and they got it back on 06 jul 07 statin "not in service area"
5. my complaints are:
a. my all correspondance like statement of account, debit card of my wife, who just joined my account (as confirmed by customer care) reach me on this same address, than how can they say it is out of there service area..
b. if they couldnt deliever it y didnt they intimated me on telephone/sms/email/inetbankin... i am a registered user of all these services with icici.
c. if they couldnt even communicate me, y didnt they take any measure not to block my card, as it put me through lots of embrassment.
d. now also he says ill have to collect it from some of his branch (complaint no-3072978 dated 01 aug 07, on icicibank customer care phone no) after showing my idientity.
e. today is 06 aug 07, and even today on visiting the branch, i have not got my card, as even they have not recieved it.
