I requested for a change of billing plan from National Package 370 to AES 249, in the month of June. I was asked to send a mail with the request. I did that, but was informed that in your records, the company I work for is not my current employer. Hence, I was asked to produce an employment proof letter from the current employer and give the request in person, in one of the Airtel Outlets (that too only corporate office as I learnt later!).
I did exactly that, got a letter from my HR & went to the Airtel Outlet in Indira Nagar on the 8th of July and spent 3 hours. I produced the request, with employment proof letter from my HR, and was confirmed by the representative that my rate plan will be changed to AES 249 from 20th of July and got an acknowledgement receipt. Now I see that my rate plan is still National Package 370. I made 6 calls to Airtel customer care and received as many calls from them, to only know that the rate plan will be changed to AES 249 only from 20th of August. Horrible experience for a simple thing to be done, even after meeting someone, in person, from Airtel!!!
 

Solution of your complaintRate Plan changed to AES 249 from 20th July 07 itself.
