A sales executive named Madan Sharma from ‘Shivam Enterprises’ Andheri, Mumbai visited our residence for selling the ‘aqua pure Crystal’ water purifier from modi hoover international company. Being a health conscious family and looking into risk of water borne diseases we were convinced to buy the above mentioned product for its unique features.
The salesman brought us a unit of ‘aqua pure Crystal’ without proper packing and seal of the company and installed that in our house, but surprisingly we found the unit installed was tampered as the buttons were not functioning properly and started leaking.
Questioning him about the substandard of the unit from a reputed company the salesman agreed to replace the unit with a fresh one.
After four days he brought some other product named ‘Puredrop’ from Elkay engineering putting the modihoover sticker on the unit. The salesman tried to convince us that the product brought in place of original ‘aqua pure Crystal’ is better and manufactured by modihoover only. Despite of our objection the sales man installed the unit in our house. The other unit brought was also seemed like tampered as above lid of the unit was not closing properly. After some adjustment he was able to fix the lid but not fully. Then again as we were arguing with the sales man to bring us the original unit of ‘aqua pure Crystal’ for which he has given us the warranty card, then the unit which was replaced i.e. ‘puredrop’ also started leaking.
Annoyed by all the above incidents we lost faith in the salesman and the product he brought, we felt that the sales man and the company is trying to cheat us by providing us with substandard product. Because we did not want to compromise with the hygiene and health of our family we insisted that company may return our money paid as advance towards the cost of water purifier i.e. Rs. 2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only).
The sales man and the dealer i.e. Shivam Enterprises are not willing to return the money paid as advance. Sir, can you help us in having our money back from the dealer as we do not trust him.
