I purchased the Maruti Alto LXI in October 2005 from the Raviratna Motors, Bharuch, Gujarat. During the heavy floods in Surat in August 2006 the car was not in a working condition. We called up the Raviratna motors and they tow away the car from Surat to Bharuch by road. After nearly a month and half on my inquiry they called me up to collect the car as it was repaired. When I reached at Raviratna motors Bharuch workshop they asked me to pay some Rs 9500 in cash for the repairs work. They asked me to sign some delivery papers, insurance papers and also asked me to sign the document saying that the Car is in a working condition and if you sign these the Maruti company under some special scheme will refund an amount of approx 3000/-, i do not remember the amount correctly. They did not handover any insurance papers or copy of the papers to me. After all the formalities during the test drive they informed me that the steering would not be smooth for some time as the Power Steering Kit costs around Rs 40000/- and they are not in a position to buy the kits for the number of damaged cars due to flood. They promised me to call for the Car after 15-20 days as and when the power steering kit arrived. After 20-25 days they called me up and informed me that if I am interested I will have to drop my car at their Bharuch workshop for further installation of the Power steering in my car. I agreed but asked for some time as now I was being transferred from my current location at Surat to Ahmedabad and Bharuch is around 70-80 kms away from Surat and I needed to plan accordingly. I informed them that I will get back in few days. After 5-7 days I again called them up but this time they said that the insurance file has been closed as I did not come back and nothing can be done. Now I have been transferred to Ahmedabad alongwith my Car without power steering. I called up Raviratna motors for more than 10 times and talked to various people like Sanjaybhai, Deepakbhai and Prakashbhai but they made false promises and escaped. I asked for my insurance papers and the cheque which they promised to deliver to me at my Ahmedabad address which they noted on phone several times but till date I have not received any written communication from their end. I have already lost the joy of riding my new ALTO LXI and also have had a loss of 9500 (which I spent) and 40000 (for the power steering which is not installed in the car). Request you to take up the matter with Ravi Ratna Motors and the National Insurance Company at Bharuch and get the needful done to my car with the refund of the eligible amount as per the scheme. 

Solution of your complaintREPAIR MY CAR AND REFUND THE ELIGIBLE AMOUNT BACK TO ME WITH COMPENSATION FOR THE DIFFICULTIES WHICH I HAVE FACED
