I PURCHASED A PRINTER (PHOTOSMART C5180) (COST $170.00) ON THE 13TH OF JUNE 2007 FROM MY LOCAL BEST BUY. PRINTER PRINTS GREAT PICTURES AND WILL EVEN COPY HOWEVER WHEN I NEEDED THE SCANNING PART ON 14 AUGUST 2007, IT WILL NOT SCAN TO MY PC. I CALLED THE LOCAL BEST BUY AND THEY TOLD ME TO CONTACT HP THAT IT WAS OVER 30 DAYS AND THAT THEY COULD NOT HELP ME. I HAVE CONTACTED TECH SUPPORT THROUGH HP AND TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT. AFTER COUNTLESS HOURS (AND I MEAN 6 PLUS HOURS) ON THE PHONE AND LETTING THEM TRY TO FIX THE PROBLEM I AM NO FURTHER THEN I WAS WHEN I CALLED THE VERY FIRST TIME. HP SENT ME TWO OTHER PRINTERS FEDEX (ONE OF WHICH WAS REFERBISHED) AND THEY HAVE NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM EITHER. I TRIED INSTALLING THE PRINTER ON THE LAPTOP THAT I HAVE AS WELL (BY THE WAY, ALL MY OPERATING SYSTEMS BEING A HP AS WELL) AND THE SAME ERROR MESSAGE KEEPS COMING UP. NOW LAST ON SEPTEMBER 6, 2007, I WAS ASKED TO COMPROMISE AND PURCHASE AN UPGRADE SO I PURCHASED A PHOTOSMART C6180 FOR A CHARGE TO MY ACCOUNT FOR $283.49. A NEW ONE FROM HP, WHICH THE TECH ASSURED ME WILL FIX THE PROBLEM AND WORK. THIS UPGRADE CAME WITH A PROMISE TO CALL ME WITH IN 24 HOURS TO CREDIT MY ACCOUNT FOR OVER 200 OF THE 284 I PUT ON MY CREDIT CARD. I HAVE YET TO HEAR FROM THEM AND IT HAS BEEN 5 DAYS. YESTERDAY I TRIED TO CALL THEM AGAIN FOR MY CREDIT AND THERE WAS AGAIN 2 1/2 HOURS ON THE PHONE AND AGAIN NO RESOLUTION. THERE MUST BE SOMEONE THAT I CAN CONTACT TO SEE IF THERE CAN BE A RESOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM. PLEASE HELP ME!!

OH AND TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, THE PRINTERS THAT I RETURNED FED EX WITH HP SHIPPING LABELS WHICH WERE PICKED UP BY FED EX AT 12:25 PM ON THE 28TH OF AUGUST. I GET AN E-MAIL TELLING ME THAT THEY DID NOT RECIEVE THE PRINTER AND THAT THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE MY ACCOUNT FOR A PRINTER. I CALLED FED EX AND THEN HP AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD NOT CHARGE MY ACCOUNT. HOWEVER WITH THE WAY THAT I HAVE BEEN GOING, I ALSO CALLED MY CREDIT CARD AND PUT A FLAG ON ANY CHARGE THAT HP WOULD PUT ON MY ACCOUNT.

I AM LOOKING FOR A SITE THAT WILL LET ME VOICE THIS COMPLAINT WHERE OTHERS MAY BE WARNED ABOUT THE WAY THAT I HAVE BEEN TREATED.

I WOULD NOT PURCHASE ANOTHER HP PRODUCT AT THIS POINT AND I SURELY WOULD NOT ENCOURAGE ANYONE ELSE TO EITHER. I KNOW THAT HP IS BIG AND I AM SMALL BUT THERE WILL BE THOSE WHO WILL LISTEN AND LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE.
