I have bought a new Nokia E62 priced at Rs 12,000 from one of the Nokia authorized dealers. Withing 15 days, the set started malfunctuning and i took the same to the dealer from where i procured the set.
In turn he took the same to the Nokia service centre named "Brightpoint India Pvt Ltd". The service centre declined to accept the device stating that the same has been damaged by water logging.
The grevience i would like to put forth is that the company is not willing to listen to the complaint and putting all the onus on the consumer. The manufacturing defect with the device was that it was not even perspiration resistant. Any set for that matter (even a Rs 1000 set) is atleast perspiration resistant to the extent if you are talking at the device keeping it close to your ear, the perspiration will not flow to the motherboard.
I am an investment banker by profession and not a swimmer so that my mobile device will have a water logging problem. I wish to sue the company for playing with the consumers and am willing to take the matter forward to any extent possible.
