This is to inform you that I am currently facing a grave concern with the mal functioning of my Invon battery purchased from M/s Shiv Electronics, (address shop no 27, G.F Basai Road, Gurgaon 122001 dated 20/6/2006) and seek your help in this regard.
Surprisingly within 6 months the cell started mal functioning, and some time in January this year on informing the supplier, Mr. Kapil Dua the proprietor of the above concern advised that the battery seems to have died and needs to be replaced, and for the same I need to provide him with the warranty slip provided at the time of purchase.
I informed him that due house shifting since the inverter purchase, most probably the warranty paper got misplaced, and however I did provide him with the bill & the money receipts as enclosed.
Irrespective of submission of such documents he charged me Rs1000, paid on 02/02/07 for replacing the battery although the same was within the warranty period of 1 year.
Consequently the replaced cell functioned normally till Apr’ 2007, and then onwards the inverter started showing “charging state” throughout the day as well as I experienced an increase in my electricity units consumption. Sometime in May 2007 the cell stopped functioning and I informed the supplier once again. The repairmen from the above concern came and refilled the cell with water and advised that now onwards it should function properly. However my electricity consumption increased more rapidly and the inverter still showed “charging state” throughout the day.
In August 2007, I performed a routine check-up of the all the electrical appliances at my place by a certified electrician and the latter concluded that excluding the inverter all the other appliances were functioning normally. On the same grounds on 1st of September in the presence of this electrician I called the repairmen of the above mentioned supplier for a check of the inverter, and they did report about over charging and repaired the same.
Currently the inverter is now not getting charged at all and on reporting the matter to the concern, was advised that the cell has died out once again.
As you can perceive from the above that from the very inception of the purchase of this battery I have been deceived and being a non- localite in Gurgaon I have been taken for a ride.
I would appreciate if you can kindly inform me as soon as possible if there is anything worthwhile you can do in this regard.

|Action||No Ideas! I have already written to Consumer voice PS30765 of which i am a memeber as well to ministry of consumer affairs, however no one seems to have any clues or pays any heed. |
