I PURCHASED AN USB DATA CARD FROM AIRTEL GURGAON DLF SALES CENTER.
1.0 THE DATA CARD WAS PURCHASED FOR USAGE ALL OVER INDIA AS THE PRODUCT
CLAIMS.
2.0 I STARTED USING IT AT GURGAON AND I HAD NO PROBLEM WITH INTERNET
CONNECTIVITY.
3.0 I TRAVELLED TO CHENNAI FIRST DURING OCT END AND TRIED USING IT.THE DATA
CARD DID NOT FUNCTION.
I CONTACTED THE CUSTOMER SERVICE THROUGH TELEPHONE A NUMBER OF TIMES
AND DID EVERYTHING AS PER INSTRUCTION.NO SUCCESS.
4.0 RETURNED TO GURGAON AND THE USB DATA CARD FUNCTIONED OK.
TOOK THE USB DATA CARD TO THE SALES CENTRE(WHER I PURCHASED IT).THEY
HAD NO ANSWER OR CLUE.
THEY INFORMED THAT I HAVE TO GET THE ANSWER ONLY FROM THE CUSTOMER
SERVICE CENTRE.
I WANTED TO RETURN THE DATA CARD TO THEM BUT THEY REFUSED SAYING THEY
CAN ONLY SELL BUT NOT TAKE IT BACK.
5.0 I AGAIN TRAVELLED TWICE IN THE MONTH OF NOV TO CHENNAI. AGAIN I TRIED USING
THE DATA CARD BUT I COULD NOT GET CONNECTIVITY.
Made a number of Calls to the Service center but no body could rectfy the sitaution nor they
could ascertain the reason.They were quite inept and casual with no seriousness
whatsoever to sort out the issue.
WITH GREAT RELUCTANCE THEY REGISTERED MY COMPLAINT OFFICIALLY COMPANT
NUMBER 14566775 dT 16.11.2007 WITH A PROMISE SOMEBODY WILL GET IN TOUCH
WITH ME.
Finally one Mr.Kunal- Supervisor AIRTEL interacted with me and asked me to contact M/s
ADONIS Electronics AIRTEL authorised service center with the assurance that they will fix
the problem.
6.0 I WENT TO M/sADONIS ELECTRONICS NUNGAMBAKKAM CHENNAI ON THE 20th NOV.
ONE MR.VIMAL ATTENDED TO ME AND TOOK THE DATA CARD.AFTER 2 HRS OF WAIT
HE INFORMED ME THAT A SOFTWARE PROBLEM IS THERE AND THAT HE WILL
RECTIFY THE FAULT AND ASKED ME TO LEAVE THE DATA CARD WITH THEM.I WAS
ASKED TO COME THE NEXT DAY.
Mr. VIMAL CALLED ME ON 21st NOV AND INFORMED ME THAT THE PROBLEM CANNOT
BE FIXED AND I WAS ASKED TO COLLECT THE DATA CARD BACK.HE INFORMED ME
THAT USB DATA CARD WILL BE FUNCTIONAL ONLY AT GURGAON AND CANNOT
FUNCTION OUTSIDE OF GURGAON.THE PRODUCT BROCHURE HOWEVER CLAIMS
ALL INDIA CONNECTIVITY.
I REQUESTED Mr.VIMAL GIVE THIS IN WRITING SO THAT I CAN SHOW IT TO AIRTEL
SALES CENTER GURGAON AND RETURN THE PRODUCT.
Mr. VIMAL DECLINED TO GIVE ANYTHING IN WRITING.

CONCLUSION:
1.0 I HAVE A USB DATA CARD WHICH CANNOT BE USED BY ME FOR MY CONVINIENCE.
2.0 AIRTEL REFUSES TO ACCEPT THEIR FAULT
3.0 AIRTEL DOES NOT OWN THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR SELLING A FAKE NON FUNCTIONAL
PRODUCT.
4.0 THEY REFUSE TO ACCEPT WARRANTY FOR TAKING BACK THE PRODUCT AND
REFUND THE AMOUNT.
RESULT IS I NOW KNOW THAT AIRTEL CHEATS AND ALL THEIR PROPAGANDA OF ETHICS OF BUSINESS IS ALL HUMBUG.
WELL LET AIRTEL PROSPER AT THE COST OF DUPING GULLIBLE CUSTOMERS LIKE ME.
