The AC had stopped working within a couple of months of purchase. I had sent a mail to Mr Gerard on 10th Nov stating the problem, because nobody answers the Godrej helpline and the local service numbers listed on their website are either no longer valid or remain unanswered(http://www.godrejsmartcare.com/dealer/servicemain.asp).
I followed up the mail with a phone call to Mr Gerard, through a number obtained by calling their Mumbai office. He promised to look into the matter. Within a week, two service men visited and checked up the ac and said the gas has to be refilled and that it will be done in 2 days. Since then there has been no response. When I called Gerard, he said again that he will look into the matter.
So here i am with a brand new ac that doesnt work - just because the company doesnt give a damn!
|Solution of your complaint||1. Explain how a brand new AC can be without gas.
2. Rectify or replace the AC.
3. Ensure that their Helpline numbers are atleast answered, even if they are of no help at all.
4. Tender an apology for the distress they have caused and ensure it never happens again. |
|Action||Take the matter to the Consumer forum. And make sure i never ever buy a Godrej product again and make sure my experiences are well circulated. |
