I have purchased a car Safari Dicore from Hind Motors in December 2005. I must acknowledge the fact that for the last two years, it is really a pleasure for me to drive such a fantastic vehicle. I have not faced any problem whatsoever during this tenure. I am getting my service done after every 5000 Km either from Hind Motors or Joshi Auto Zone, Chandigarh.
After I have completed 30,000 Km the car was sent to garage of Joshi Auto Zone on 2nd of December. As there was no abnormality in the vehicle, it was recommended to go for a general service. I paid around Rs. 6000/- towards service charge and took the vehicle same evening. Next day when I was travelling on the Highway from Chandigarh to Ropar (a townó50 km away from Chandigarh) on Hoshiarpur road, I found there is no acceleration and lot of smoke was coming from Exhaust. I was unable to drive beyond speed of 80 Km/hr and there was an indication to check the engine on the dash board. I called Joshi Auto and was asked to bring the car to the service centre. After doing the initial inspection they found one hose pipe was damaged so pressure is not building up in the engine which is resulting in poor pick up and lot of smoke. After 3 days I got a message from them that the Turbo got damaged and it is to be changed, which will cost me around Rs. 40,000/-.
I am religiously following ( if needed my service record can be checked) the service schedule recommended by Tata motors. During the service at 30,000 km why it was not checked and informed to me By Joshi Auto Zone there is a problem in the hose pipe. As per Joshi Auto Zone the pipe got damaged because of some vibration in the car. Vibration is a normal practice in any car and how can the pipe made of metal got damaged by touching some other equipment if is correct, than it is a design fault.
I am no where wrong in the total episode than why I am penalized for no fault of me. I need your help because my car is lying in the garage for the last one week.
