I had given my TATA INDICA XETA for service on 27/12/07 and I was promised to get back my car on 31.12.2007 which was delayed. I understand, the delay might have been due to year end, less staff and more number of cars for service, etc. They promised to give the car back on 02.01.08, which again was not done. Finally..They had asked me to take the delivery on 03.01.2008 at 12.30pm. I went to Manipal service centre at around 2 pm and after waiting for more than a hour. (During the waiting time I had made a payment for around Rs.8000/- for service and tinkering). My car was ready at 3.15. I was shocked to see my car. It was pathetic and looking horrible...Water wash was not done. They claimed to have done it, but the way it looked..... they agreed themselves and made me wait for another 15 mins and the car was washed in my presence. One of the complaints which I had given while service was the fork light was not working. They had missed out to repair to the same. And another 15 mins in front of me to get it done. And the worst part is that...there is a scratch in my car, which was not there when I left it for service and it is not marked in the sheet where they usually mark scratches when we leave the car for service. When I mentioned that....they neither agreed they had done it nor denied the same...They kept silent which meant...yes it is done by mistake what to do..This car was purchased in Nov 2006. I really dont feel comfortable and smooth when I drive it today. After service...It should give me a better feel to drive but it is totally the reverse. Im thoroughly upset with this kind of a service.
Solution of your complaint
There cannot be a solution for most of the problems I faced...bcos they are past is past.
But atleast the scratch part of it...they should have agreed and made it fine before handing over the car to me. They have to collect the car, make it fine and deliver it to my place.
Im yet to think of....But it would definitely proceed further.
