|Complaint Rating||10(in a scale of 1 to 10)|
|Name of the Company Employee||None |
i visited DD Motors, Wazir Pur Depot on 18.12.2007 with the complaint of "missing" during running of engine resulting in improper pickup. i was told that this is due to moisture in the plugs which might have due to washing. even after cleaning the plugs, the mechanic could not rectify the fault. thereafter, the mechanic suggested to get the Ignator Coil changed by saying that its winding is "short". i informed them about the extended warranty of my vehicle WagonR Lxi which is up to 22.5.2008. but the employees (engineers / mechanics) of D.D. Motors refused to change the same free of cost as i had got my vehicle retrofitted with CNG and the coil is short due to CNG.
It is for information that the retrofittment of CNG has been done through authorized dealer and endorsed in the RC being issued by the Transport Authority.
i would like to ask that on one side government is encouraging to use clean fuel to save environment with more that 150 filling stations of CNG in delhi itself. And on the other side dealer / manufacturer is refusing to give the benefits of extended warranty by saying that the Warranty is Void due to retrofittment of CNG.
|Solution of your complaint||Since the vehicle is under Extended Warranty till 22.5.2008 the amount paid for Ignator Coil be reimbursed or the amount paid towards Extended Warranty paid at the time of buying the vehicle be refunded along with interest thereon. Moreover, if the problem was due to Ignator Coil, why they have charged for the cleaning of plugs? |
|Action||i have already made the payment of Ignator Coil. If the reimbursement is not done by considering the fact that the part is covered under extended warranty for which i had already paid the required amount to the company, i have no other option except to move to Consumer Court. I have learnt that such cases are dealt there in a logical and justified way. |
