I have Demat account with Kotak securities. I havent placed any order on 5 Jan 2008. But it shows that order has been placed. Order history shows that Sell order was placed at 2.56 PM (5 Jan 2008) and then buy order around 2.59 PM (5 Jan 2008). It also shows that Buy order was keep on modified till the market close time (3.29 PM 5 Jan 2008), finally the buy order was exeucted around 3.29.40 PM. In this transaction i lost approximately Rs 4500.

I noticed this in the evening only. So I wrote a mail to customerservice@kotaksecurities.com on that day. And then contacted customer service coimbatore branch on next day (6-Jan-2008). So far i havent got any reply for my email. When i contacted Coimbatore branch, they are telling me the order was placed from my user id only. No body knows my userid and password except me. I highly doubt this. Because when you call customer service to place the order, they will just ask your client id no other verification is happening. So i suspect that the customer service agent must have typed the incorrect the Client id. I dont know how to proove that.

Can you advise me how to go about this?
