On 11th Feb 2008 I contacted Hathway (67134545) for an internet connection at my residence (Odhav Nagar - Borivali E). I was asked to contact Mr Abhay (9892900461) who take care of new connection in my residence area. On 13th Deb 2008, Hathway executive Mr Shashi (9892290669) came to my residence & collected cheque of INR 620 & filled up my form for connection. I was assured by Mr Abhay & Mr Shashi that the connection will start in 3 working days. In fact on 14th the broadband wire was laid out & tested. So far so good. After that there is no follow up & I have been running phone to phone & office to office to just find out how much more time will it take to stsrt my broadband connection; heres the summary
18th Feb: On calling, Mr Abhay informed me that there is some "management" problem & connection will start by 20th.
20th: On calling upteen time Mr Abhay took my call & informed me that they have some dipute with local cable TV provider & that connection will start by Friday (22nd Feb).
22nd Feb: On calling umpteen times, I was given Mr Krunal Purohit number from Hathway call centre & Mr Krunal Purohit now informed me that they have a technical snag & they are fixing it & my connection will be active by Tuesday 26th. He asked me to stay in touch with Mr Piyush Rai (9967580263)
27th Feb: I am informed by various parties (28846108, 28460889, 66623333, 67134630, 67134567) & each gave me different reasons for delay in connection, summarisng them: Technical problem, Management problem, Training problem, Engineering section on strike, etc etc. At last Mr Shashi (9892290669) informed that it"ll take another 12-15 days & that they were aware of the problem in starting new connection on the day he took the cheque & application form from me but they didnt want to lose the customer so they have kept me waiting.
