Made a number of complaints, one of which is 400rf08b06339 of 6 Feb 2008. Kenstar people made two visits, said fixing the problem would cost Rs 250/- and never visited again. If they could have fixed the problem, they should have fixed it by now.
I have had similar problems earlier, dealing with Kenstar. Where others take at most 3 days, Kenstar cannot fix the problem even in 3 months for one reason or another.
My impression is that Kenstar Appliances is systematically following a policy of not stocking spare parts, so as to reduce inventory, and increase profits. This is very bad for the customers. Kenstar customers should be forewarned. While Kenstar product design is good (mostly imported), Kenstar service is really really rotten, so that Kenstar products easily become unusable if anything happens. Normally if a washing machine becomes non-functional it would not be possible for the customer to hold on for three months. In my case, I was able to do so since I have a second washing machine. Otherwise, I would have gone out and bought a new machine.
I cannot believe that Kenstar was not able to fix the problem in 3 months due to any legitimate or innocent reason---other companies never take more than a day or two at the most to fix any problem.
Therefore, it seems to me Kenstar is deliberately playing a game of giving false assurances and making pointless home visits to hide the fact that it does not stock spare parts as a matter of policy, a policy designed to increase Kenstar profits at the cost of its customers whom it seeks to fool.
Otherwise, why does Kenstar not even provide a registered office address at which one can send a written or faxed complaint?
Kenstar customers you have been warned!
|Solution of your complaint||That someone actually sets the machine right instead of offering repeated false assurances, and making pointless home visits and hiding their registered office address. |
|Action||Go to consumer court, possibly together with other dissastisfied Kenstar customers, to make Kenstar pay a hefty fine for profiting by unethical means, and to publicise this widely so that others are saved from falling into the same trap, and recognize Kenstar as an unreliable company. |
