We purchased a LCD TV from "Adishwards Electro world" at Banashankar in Bangalore.
Bill no - 1006-3623 on 26th July 2008. Model no. KLV-32V400A and serial no. 1202213.
After 2 weeks we realized that previous channel option was not working properly. We thought it might be because of battery problem and hence put a new battery. But the problem still persisted. Then when we checked ourselves as to find out when the function was not working properly.
The problem was when we manually entered the channel numbers the previous channel option was not working. As per the manual, if i view a channel for more than 5 seconds and then move to another channel, then later if i press previous channel it should come back to the first channel. This was not happening. It was going back to the channel which was viewed for more than 15 seconds. This is not in adherence to the manual details.
We put a complaint at the customer care centre. Req# 3189390 on 20th August 2008. They sent a service personnel on 27th. This again not as they told during the call that within 2 days service agent would visit. The agent said that is how it will work and said will send another person to verify. Another person visited on 29th August. He also said that it takes 15 seconds not 5 seconds as in manual even in other Sony TVs. Told us that he will let us know where to complain with Sony about its improper functionality next day. When we didnt receive any call for next 3 days we called the call center again. They said that the agent has said no problem was found and asked us to give a complaint again req# 3216779.
We sent an e-mail to Sony care (email@example.com) also on 27th August. But no response from them till date.
|Solution of your complaint||Either sony correct the problem and tender an apology that it has been selling faulty products to all consumers in india and fooling them by not adhering to their commitment said in their own manual. We take that their product is best by the brand name. I was very surprised by their indifference to the problem. The agent said even his CTV takes 12 seconds where as manual says 6 seconds. Its fine as long as it is working. But being such a brand why tell lies about its performance. |
