I have applied for an ICICI bank Fixed Deposit for Rs 20,000 on 26th october 2005 .
The applcation number is 428178. An ICICI bank executive came to collect the Deocuments from my office on 26th.
I gave a CHeque Payable at UTI bank dated 1st Nov 2005 and i was told by the executive that the FDR would start from the day my Cheque is cleared fom the bank.
After a Lot of delay I finally got my Card which would identify my Fixed Deposit. No intimation was made by the respective bank about the Fixed deposit number and other details.
I called up customer care so many times and then finally was able to fetch the details about my Fixed Deposit. It was really shocking to know that my Fixed Deposit was started from 6th od december 2005.

The cheque that i gave got cleared from my bank account on the 12th nov 2005. And accordingly my FIxed deposit should have started from the 12 Itself.

I had also logged a complaint with the ICICI customer care with the SR number SR-1014157714 but no action has been taken yet.

On asking the bank about the delay no justified reason has been given so far.
I personally visited the GK-2 Branch a few days back and met Mr Rochak and he promised me of sending me the details of the delay but nothing has been recieved yet.

Though i have got my FD cancelled now and hope to get back atleast my 20,000.

I just fail to uderstand where was my Money from the date 12-Nov 2005 to the 5th Dec 2005
that is some 24 days.

I would like you to send across this complaint to the bank And make sure that the bank takes the necessary action.
the bank has been giving advertisment on Television saying Quotes like "Hum hai na" and then providing such kind of customer service is just soooo redicilous.
