I had taken a unlimited Broadband connection at Rs 699/- from Airtel in November 2007 .It was fine for 5 months then I had to shift my office from Sector-11 to sector-7 Noida in April 2008.

I called Mr Deepak from airtel as he gave me my earlier connection in November 2007 to shift it He suggested me to go for anew connection and then I can canceal the old connection when ever I wanted I agreed and signed a new form for the same 699/ plan Unlimited to a new telephone No -0120-4273964.

After 1 month I got a bill much more than 699 /- + plus service tax. I called Mr Deepak he said there has been a mistale from the data processing people in filling the form and the excess amount will be revered. Because there are 2 plan of 699/- one is limited and other is unlimited. Also he made me speak with his senior Mr Pradeep Mishra, He also assured me and also said Soory for it. He told next bill will be Rs 699- + service tax only.

But nothing happened, The airtel customercarte kept calling me for payment. I contacted Mr Deepak he told me to pay Rs 2500/- so that the connection doesnot get cancealed and then he will reveres these amount also in future bill. I paid Rs 2500/

After one month the next bill also came for Rs 13500 approx. I called both of them and they said again sorry and same thing that it will be revered.
I kept calling them every day and they said me not to worry and also not to worry for Customer care calls.

And in the mean time Deepak left the company. When I called him Then I called Mr Pradeep and he told me not to woory and he came to me personally in my office to assure me.he called to several people in airtel for Reversal. he told me that 75% amount will be reverede in next bill and balance in the bill there after.

But nothing happened

Then someone from the Sector -57 called and told me to finalsie the matter in Rs 4000/- for total amount pending Rs 16000/-. I said him why should i pay without my mistake...

But he kept on telling me to finsh the matter as because it will be lot of harrsment to me because of aclls and notices So he agreed for Rs 2000/- . I said him to send the person and write that the settlement has been done. But he told me that he will write only on the recipt of Rs 2000/- and will give me the settlement letter once my cheque will be passed in Bank. After that no settlemenmt letter was sent to me. I kept calling and nobody responded.

Also Mr pradeep told me that your problem is solved now so dont woory even if the settlement letter doesnot come because I am thesir good client as I have other 3 numbers of Airtel and paying almost 10 to 12000 /- with these 3 numbers bill. So I shouldnot worry.

But nothiung happened.

after 15 days I got alegal notice from airtel to Pay Rs 17893/ or they will take me to court or arest me..

Please advise how shall i fight. Even i have that form in which they have filled 699/- unlimited connection and Rs 2000/* recvipt in which they write the settlement is done.
