| Complaint Details | My 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.5L has what the dealer calls a drive by wire accelerator. In other words it has no cable from the accelerator petal to the engine. It is almost impossible to accelerate smoothly with this system. When the accelerator is gently pressed, the car barely moves forward. When the accelerator is pressed a little more, it races forward. This is a serious safety defect in the design of the vehicle. |
| Solution of your complaint | The solution is for the government to force Hyundai to recall the vehicle and design and install a cable accelerator system. |
| Action | The action that I will take is to get rid of this vehicle and never deal with Hyundai again. |
