I brought a broad band connection on 21st october 2008.
I called the customer care and they informed that my bill will be generated on 25 th of every month. I have an 6 GB download limit plan for Rs 999 without taxes(some 1100 with taxes). Since the billing cycle was on 25th I downloaded some 5.5GB on 23rd.I didnot exceed my download limit also. But when the bill came it was Rs.4000. I called the customer care and enquired about this. They said that they calculated it on a pro rata basis for the first month. They didnot inform me any thing about this. I am not sure whether they have mentioned about pro rata plan in the application form in which I signed. I said that I will pay only the normal amount. WHether I have to pay the full amount. One guy called from airtel and said that it was both their fault for not informing and my fault(I dont know what was my fault). So the person who gave the connection will pay half the amount and I should pay half the amount. When I refused he started shouting at me almost threatening. Now whether I should pay the complete bill and what action can I take against the person for shouting at me?
