I am the proud owner of a maruti Alto TN 20 AT 6314 purchased in April 2007. The vehicle was purchased from Popular automobiles at annanagar Chennai. I have been giving my vehicle for servicing to them only during the free servicing and after also.

I have registered a complaint with them during the first free service regarding the front left suspension which was making a noise. This problem was not rectified and the same problem was reported during the second third and fourth services also. In between a technician was also sent to my residence to asses the problem but to my surprise the problem still persists and a solution is not yet given to me. This has been going on for the past one and half year but my complaints have not been rectified

Secondly two months back the A/c Drainage in my car got blocked and as a result the mat on the side of the co driver side got wet and the interiors started to stink. The vehicle was sent for servicing and A/c was serviced the mat was removed and dried, an amount of Rs 5200/- was spent for servicing the A/c and cleaning of the mat but the stink was not removed. The service engineer said that the smell can not be eliminated and will remain unless the mat is replaced. The vehicle was again sent for the same problem after a week since the A/c was still draining into the cabin. This time the engineer said that nothing can be done about it.

The smell in my car remains till date and the problem has not been rectified in-spite of the fact that I have spent money for the servicing and repairs as stated above

I am not able to drive my car, take anybody along because of the persistent smell and inspite of repeated requests to the dealer they are not interested in rectifying the problem

If this remains the attitude of the dealers of the largest selling car in the world then much needs to be improved in customer relations and customer satisfaction in maruti udhyog Ltd

I would like to lodge an official complaint against Popular automobiles Ltd annanagar Chennai for deficiency in service. If my complaints are not taken up at this level then I will be forced to go to a higher level
