Complaint Details

We had an internet leased line connection at our office premises which was disconnected on 03 August 2008. We had requested AIRTEL to send us the refund from the advance payment made to Airtel due to early disconnection of the internet leased line connection.

The reference no. for support ticket raised with the Airtel Team is "13220438" , which was raised on 27 October 2008 by sending a written email to Airtel Customer Care Email ID "selecttouch.delhi@airtel.in".

We had also received a reference no. " 14429696 " for a support ticket raised with the airtel team on 01 December 2008 for the same issue.

We have also recently registered a complaint regarding this issue with the Department of Telecom. The reference no. for the complaint is " DARPG/E/2008/14062 "

We have received no response back from AIRTEL even on repeated reminders which is a serious concern and has to be reported to senior individual placed in Airtel, if no reply is provided to the email.

We would like to inform AIRTEL that we have not received any detailed FINAL SETTLEMENT BILL/INVOICE for the internet leased line connection mentioned above. Kindly send us a FINAL SETTLEMENT BILL/INVOICE of the internet leased line connection mentioning all details of deductions verified by usage reports and mention in the bill the refund amount.
Please do send the Final Invoice/Bill for the disconnected internet leased line through a registered courier and inform us of the Dispatch Courier No. for our reference.

I have recently received a phone call from an Airtel representative claiming to be the person handling this particular complaint. The call details are provided below :

I, Uday Rana (Director, Xiphoid Technologies Pvt. Ltd.) have taken serious note of the kind of malpractices of misleading customers by AIRTEL Team. Resolve the issue of refund of the remaining balance amount (2 month usage charges+ security deposit) after deduction of usage period (1 month) of internet leased line (from the advance payment of 1,02,880/- made for a time duration of 3 months usage of internet leased line) and delivery of Full and Final Invoice/Bill for the disconnected Airtel Internet Leased Line.
 

Solution of your complaintThe solution will be to refund us the balance amount (2 months usage charges + security deposit) from the advance payment (Rs. 1,02,880 /-) made to Airtel for 3 months usage. The internet leased line had an early disconnection just one month after installation. Also provide us the full/final invoice describing in detail the deductions from the amount submitted with airtel as per the usage reports. 
ActionWe have also recently registered a complaint regarding this issue with the Department of Telecom. The reference no. for the complaint is " DARPG/E/2008/14062 " We have also picked up the issue with relevant government consumer right organisations to resolve the issue ASAP. If the issue is not resolved soon we plan to lodge a consumer court complaint seeking relevant amount from Airtel for the mental harassment which we are undergoing due to malpractices of Airtel customer care team. We have contacted the Airtel Team on each single day for the last 5 months (Aug-Dec'2008) by phone and by email and we have relevant proofs to justify that.
