Today I visited at Nokia Care center at Micronas Telecom, C-4, Sec-2, Noida (India) because my phone (Nokia 3230) was having problem of low incoming Audio. But the Loudspeaker and Ear-phones were able to provide clear and loud voice. There was no problem at all with the handset. Nokia care center excecutives told me that the handset need to be checked and it would either cost Rs 400 for the replacement of audio part or it would cost Rs 1100 for replacement of UI if found faulty. He also told me that in any case, the repaired phone will be returned on 22nd Dec, 2008. He also confirmed that these charges were inclusive of all service changes and taxes.
After 3 hours, the Nokia care executive rang me up and told me that the phone wouyld cost Rs 1500 for replacement of the UI and it would take 10-15 days to repair. I refused to wait for such a long period and asked for return of the phone. They returned me the phone in dead state.
On asking, they said-you may go to any consumer forum if you are not satisfied.
