Irregularity on Go Mumbai Smart Card Refills

My name is Mahesh & my Go Mumbai Smart Card no. is 21145828.

On 16/12/2008, I made two refills of Rs. 150 & Rs. 200 on the Go Mumbai Smart Card for traveling on Central Railway at Thane Station East Helpdesk of Go Mumbai. The first refill (Receipt No. 02030029350) was Rs. 150, the receipt shows an opening balance of Rs. 30, Add Value of Rs. 150/- & Amount Payable Rs. 150 & Closing Balance of Rs. 172. I tried to commence my journey by validating the card on the machine but it gave an error, I went back to the helpdesk & was told to make further refill for first class travel. I made a further refill of Rs. 200 (Receipt No. 02030029351), the printed receipt shows Opening Balance of Rs. 30/- again, Add Value of Rs. 200/- & Closing Purse of Rs. 220/-.

After completing my journey from Thane to Turbhe by first class Rs. 82, when I checked my balance at Thane Stn, it showed only Rs. 135, whereas it should have been Rs. 295/-. (30+150+200 = Rs. 380 - Rs. 85).

I brought this to the attention of the Thane Helpdesk on 17/12/2008 & I was told to speak to the Helpline. I spoke with the Helpline Executive Varsha, who asked me to give a written complaint alongwith the copies of the refill receipts to the Thane Desk of Go Mumbai.

Accordingly, I gave the written complaint & the receipts to the Thane Help Desk on 18/12/2008. I was told by the Thane Help Desk that I would get a reply in 24 hours. After waiting for 24 hrs, when I did not get a reply from Go Mumbai, I called them up to be told the following That even though I did a refill of Rs. 150 & Rs. 200, their system shows only a refill of Rs. 150 & Rs. 50/-. When I asked them how come the refill receipts clearly mention Rs. 150 & Rs. 200, also the opening & closing balance is also not matching in both of the receipts. They refused to give any explanation for this.

Please note the glaring inconsistencies in the refill printouts which have been attached. Receipt No. 02030029350 shows an opening balance of Rs. 30 & an Amount Payable of Rs. 150/-, plus a closing balance of Rs. 172. The second refill receipt 02030029351 shows again an opening balance of Rs. 30, an Add value of Rs. 200 & closing balance of Rs. 220. These two transactions have been undertaken within a minute or two of each other.

Please highlight this, if you feel this is justified after going through the attached receipts.

Solution of your complaintI have done refill for Rs. 150 & Rs. 200 & have the refill print outs as documentary proofs. They have to give me the balance for the refill done.
