I received a call on Dec 29, 2008 at around 4:58 pm from the Barclays Credit Card advising that it was a verification call concerning a purchase of Kingfisher Airlines tickets on Dec 27 and 28, 2008 worth Rs.44,000/-. I rejected the transaction stating have not authorized any such kind of purchase on my account. When called again today on Dec 30, 2008 inquiring about the complaint, the representative informed that the complaint has not been registered and they have debited my card for the said amount. It was rediculous. They should have stopped the transaction there and then itself instead of charging my account.
