I bought their broadband service last year, but due to some issues with the housing colony, my connection was installed but not activated. I paid Rs. 2120 for the service, alongwith buying the modem. After many calls, i was told my money would be refunded, but it was not.

After around 5 months of calling their call center and running around their office in Vashi, I was approached by a guy from their Vashi office, Mr. Jaydeb Nandy who told me the issue with the colony had been sorted out, but due to internal complexities, it would be easier to apply for a new connection and getting refund for my 1st connection.

I lodged a formal complaint in writing to their Vashi office to initiate the refund process. I have a copy of it, alongwith the Old receipt (CRF No. 158695 / Handwritten: 367995) and New receipt (CRF No. 206708).

I paid Rs.1060 for the new connection. I also returned the old modem. Within 1 week, my connection was up and running, but no sign of the refund. I used to call them around 10 times a month, was assured that my refund would be posted within 15 days, but that didnt happen. So, I withheld my bill for 2 months amounting to Rs.1269. My new connection has now been disconnected due to non-payment of bills.

Now, I get around 3-4 calls per week from them asking me to pay up. I am tired of repeating the same thing everytime, giving them my receipt number, and then taking another of these calls. The calls have been getting ruder with each passing day and am at my wits end. Its been an year and i dont see any them working towards resolving this issue.

 

Solution of your complaintRefund of Rs. 2120. 
ActionI will try and take up this issue with the media. I will also lodge a formal complaint with consumer court.
