The BMTC has allowed Pushpak and daily passholders to travel in Suvarna buses from 5th February, thereby cheating the Suvarna pass holders for the month.
BMTC charged Rs 800/- for Suvarna passes from public, despite knowing that Pushpak pass holders would be allowed in Suvarna buses after 4 days.
BMTC has openly cheated public this way. It could have very well stopped issuing Suvarna passes for February. It clearly shows the roughshod intentions of BMTC in cheating customers.
When the officials were tried to reach, there were none in the Kempegowda Bus terminal. One traffic controller suggested to meet officials at Shantinagar BMTC office at 10 AM, as if all the working people who travel in BMTC can leave their own work to meet officials at their office hours for no mistake of public. The telephone number 12557 has no answer other than, "you should not have bought suvarna pass!!", perhaps the most irresponsible answer of the world. Who asked BMTC to sell suvarna passes in the first hand for February? Why blame the customer? BMTC online complaints/suggestions form in bmtcinfo.com website does not even open.
BMTC should either refund the extra money to Suvarna passholders or revert its decision to allow Pushpak and daily passholders to use Suvarna services atleast for the month of February. Of course, it can take off from March. Or, in the worst case, BMTC should reduce Rs.150/- on the monthly passes of March for all those who return Suvarna passes of February.
Any reaction or response from BMTC be expected? Can BMTC come with any decision? Can consumer court help all the Suvarna passholders?
|Solution of your complaint||BMTC should either refund the extra money to Suvarna passholders or revert its decision to allow Pushpak and daily passholders to use Suvarna services atleast for the month of February. |Action||We would get helpless once the month passes, as we have to return the previous month's pass to get the new one for the next month. The proof is lost there. We can have a photocopy of the pass and continue to fight, but it loses heat. For people who travel by public transport, each rupee is valuable and BMTC should care for them. However, the daily earning of the poor consumer is also important and they cannot spare time and energy to fight a mighty system, that has preconceived a cheating plan and executed it intelligently on unassuming common man. |
