I placed an order (#33394) on 17th Jan 2009 online at http://shop.in.com/ (which was previously www.storeguru.com) The payment was made successfully online
via a Bank gateway.Estimated Time for Delivery as per mail 25-01-2009.
I get a message on 22nd Jan 2009 that the order is likely to be delayed. Since I had an urgency for the ordered item I requested a cancellation of the order and the appropriate refund. Made two enquires to the support person by mail and received no response.
One of the many online complaints placed on contact us section of the site (http://shop.in.com/commerce/feedback.php ) was answered on 31st Jan 2009, which is 10 working days after the order was placed and one week after I had requested the cancellation. The mail itself is vague and as per the message dated Sat, Jan 31, 2009 at 12:45 PM, the cancellation was initiated. And the mail dated Fri, Feb 6, 2009 at 11:46 AM confirms on the fact that the payment for order 33394 will be credited to my account within 7 working days
And today 20th Feb 2009 Over one month after the order is placed things start a fresh, and the support exec says the product will reach in 7 working days. And the whole cancellation refund cycle restarts.
This clearly indicates the utter disregard for the customer, absolute carelessness and negligence of the support staff and an all together, disdainful and unethical approach.
Even today the product I had ordered 1 month back is still on their site, at the following link.
