My TV's front panel is broken. I asked Samsung to replace it and I would bear all charges since this is not covered under warranty. The complaint was filed on 31st Jan 2009. (Complaint no 8409399164.)
Around the first week of Feb 2009, I was told that the part is not available and the support staff at Samsug customer service assured me that the part would be procured by 10th Feb. However that did not happen. I called again, and I was told that the part will be received by Monday 23rd Feb. On the 23rd Feb a service personnel called me and requested a time to come and replace the part. I told them to come anytime after 5PM since I stay alone and I return from office that time. However nobody came nor called me to perform the repairs.
Today morning (24th feb) I received a call from a service personnel and he requested a time to come and replace the part. I again told him to come anytime after 5PM, to which he agreed.
However, nobody called nor came to repair my TV. I called up customer service again and I was told that the service request has been abandoned because I was not reachable on my mobile, which is very ridiculous. I was told that a senior officer would call me to resolve my complaint, but nobody called. Later I called the customer support again, and I was told that the spare part would take another 10-15 days to arrive.
What this means is that its been 25 days since my complaint has been registered but I still have not got a resolution.
This is not the first time I had a problem with Samsung Service. Earlier they refused to service my Samsung mobile even after I agreed to pay for all cost of repairs despite the phone being under warranty.
|Solution of your complaint||The best solution is that Samsung take this TV back and refund 75% of the amount I paid for this TV. I do not want to be associated with Samsung's products anymore. And for this, I will not negotiate. I should have bought a Sony, or even Videocon or Onida. Samsung is a Korean company and just like LG, they are bloody thieves. |
|Action||I will file a case against the District Consumers court. I have already convinced 4 of my close friends NOT to buy any product from Samsung. They have chosen Sony / IFB / Philips. And I am happy they took the right decision. I will post my complaint at every website/forum I can find on Google. |
