I am owner of APC UPS BE 500Y-IN. I had issued with the UPS making heavy sound and not functioning well. I registered a complaint on 24th Dec ( C1-794381536). I followed up with a call on 30th dec ( If I remember right and later in Jan , donot remember the dates) . I was told that this UPS will be replaced through courier and I will need to send the old one back and did not commit on the timeframe. I did not receive any call or message form APC. I waited and made a call last week again , to my surprise they told me the complaint was closed because I did not follow up with them and as per process it will close after 7 days. As I understand it was the mistake of APC in not sending service engineer or replacement within 7 days . I am not sure on why the customer must b penalized and how the service request can be closed without checking with the customer.
I was promised that my UPS will be replaced as it was within warranty and now since the warranty period has lapsed , APC is in a denial mode.
I have great regards for APCC as a professional company and look forward to taking this up and doing a replacement . Warm Regards,
