I had ordered some books from indiavartha.com in the last week of April 2006. I had paid for the same through direct online payment. My package was despatched to me through AFL Couriers on 03-May-2006, and I have a mail to confirm the same. The Waybill number of the package was 114323949316.
The delivery boy came twice to deliver the package and found the house locked (we were out of town for the weekend). Then the delivery boy has APPARENTLY delivered the package to someone else, who has signed the courier receipt in Telugu and given a telephone number. When I tried to ask AFL for my package I was told it was delivered at that number. I called that number to discover that no one at that number received any courier. The number belongs to a wayside mess near my house.
I have since then called AFL (040 55919696) several times and complained, and asked for my parcel, but they all feign ignorance. The delivery boy in question (Latif) is absconding since that day, and now the supervisors and others at the office are unavailable too, whenever I call.
I need my parcel, for which I have already paid. I want some serious action to be taken against AFL. This is highly irresponsible of them. How can customers rely on them to deliver any parcel henceforth?
|Solution of your complaint||I want the parcel traced and delivered to me. The books I ordered are hard-to-get and I had a tough time tracing them and plaing the order.
If not, I need AFL to reimburse the amount of the parcel to me, along with considerable damage-charges. |
|Action||I shall be forced to go to consumer court. I also plan to write to the media and complain loudly about AFL and rip them of their credibility. I also plan to write to indiavartha.com and ask them to stop using AFL courier for their deliveries. |
