I ve been using vodafone for a while now, and inspite of activating the 'DND [Do not disturb] service on my vodafone number i still get around 10-15 lame calls each day. These calls are from various banks like ICICI, Axix Bank, CitiBank, DB, HDFC etc for loans, credit cards, A/c opening etc. Apart from that i also get calls from telecom operators like Tata Indicom, Airtel, BPL Mobile, Calls from Investment/Trade advisors like G-Money, Sharekhan etc,
I havent registered myself on any website/institution/organisation for any kind of updates or promotional calls at all. The calls i get are totally unrelated.

And these calls come to me inspite of repeated requests and complaints to the customer service Dept of Vodafone which is totally incapable of handling any queries or complaints. Everytime i complaint i get a "learnt by rote" answer saying we ll put ur complaint on high priority and resolve this asap. Between December and May i ve made a lot of complaints but each time i only get a text message saying "Your request will be processed this is ur reference number ##12345".

These calls start from 9 in the morning and goes on till 8 in the night at most times and it goes without saying that being a working individual it s of great disturbance during working hours and imp meetings.

To top it i get tonns of wrong numbers too for several different people. its difficult to change my number over and over as in the transition i may miss out on a lot of important people who may have this number.

I am tired of complaining with no progress in any manner.
If any one could suggest a way out of this misery.
