I had subscribed to a one year subscription of 'HELLO' magazine with
effect from Jan 2009. Since Indiatimes.com offered a special discount on
this, I had opted for the same. I made the payment thru my credit card.
payment done amount debited but no news from the great indiatimes.com.
Finally when I called their customer care I was told my order is processed
and the Jan 2009 magazine is on its way to my home. Surprisingly next day
morning one person delivered the magazine. Normally when magazine is
subscribed it is written 'SUBSCRIBER COPY NOT FOR SALE', but no such
message written on the magazine but the rate was mentioned. My Feb 2009
magazine was also delievered to me. However, from March 09 onwards nothing
came, I thought may be a human error and I might get my magazine. However,
even April 2009 came no one came with the magazine. Hence I addressed a
email to the customer care of Indiatimes.com about my complaint, when no
reply I called the customer care number. The lady on phone told me 'SIR
YOUR ORDER HAS BEEN DELIEVRED TO YOU IN JAN 2009 ITSELF. NOTHING IS DUE TO
YOU NOW'.The I reminded her that I had paid for 12 months subscription of
a magazine and not one single magazine. She asked me to contact the
customer care in Delhi with my complaint. When contacted Delhi I was told
the magazine has been delievered to me on time. She diverted me to a Pune
based company with my complaint. When I spoke to the Pune person she told
me to contact Mumbai customer care. This circle went for more than15 days
without solution. Now I am left with no option.
Consequences : I paid Rs.540/- thru my credit card, believing the
representations made by indiatimes shopping. however, they are not
delivering what i have already paid for. they have cheated me. i have lost
my money as well as mental peace. no one from their side is ready to help
me. they are just sending me into circles, mumbai says contact delhi
office, delhi office says contact pune and pune again sends me back to
mumbai. its a well planned cheating. they might have already made crores
by cheating millions of people like this. please take strict action
against them. 

Solution of your complaintthey should deliver the magaznies to me for next 12 months starting from May 2009 and ensure timely dleivery. they should give a written undertaking to this effect.  
Actioni am thinking of lagding criminal complaint against the Chairman, MD and CEO of Bennett Coleman Co Ltd. Let them face trial as they are minting money by cheating people like this.
