I was proud enough while purchasing the above NOKIA set for my daughter Sumitha Surendran from your Authorised Dealer – J.P TRADES AND AGENCIES, MOLY MANZIL, M.G. ROAD, ERNAKULAM, COCHIN-682016.
Now I regret very much for having purchased the above set since justice is not given to me.
As you are aware the above set is still under guarantee.
After about six months usuage the set started giving complaints. Finally I handed over the above mobile to your AUTHORISED service centre POOVATH INTERNATIONAL, Kurian Towers, Ernakulam. The set was thoroughly checked up by them and the same handed over to me in the evening after taking back the Service job sheet. When I asked them what was the complaint, they verbally told me that it was a software complaint and they have replaced the same. Hence it was working when they handed over the set to me.
Again on 25.04.2009 it was not working – mainly display was off and soI took it to the nearby authorized NOKIA SERVICE CENTRE at S.A. Road, Elamkulam, Cochin-16. The information given to me by this centre was that the set is tampered and does not fall under guarantee period. They demanded an amount of Rs. 6000/= for rectifying the mobile set. As I very well knew that since this is under guarantee period and nobody else has tampered with my set other than your authorized service centre at Kurian Towers, I collected back the set from them and rushed to POOVATH INTERNATIONAL at Kurian Towers, Ernakulam, on 29.04.2009, who cleverally told me that the set will be repaired and returned the next working day. However to my bad luck I was not able to collect the set on 30.04.2009 due to unavoidable circumstances. Thinking that my set is left with an authorized Nokia Service Centre, I decided to collect the same the next day.
To my surprise when I visited them the next day for taking delivery of my set I was shocked to hear that they also demanded an amount of Rs. 5000/= for rectifying the defect. When questioned they told me that this set was tampered and that I have to pay the amount for rectifying the defect. I fail to understand the way your authorized Service Centres are dealing with customers for no fault of the customer. Now I very much doubt the credibility of your service centres since I strongly feel that both your authorized Service Centres have cheated me cleverally. Both are having different views as can be seeen from the above facts mentioned by me. Definitely foul play is there.
Strongly suspecting that this is a foul play by both your Authorised Service Centres, Iam now reporting the above matter to you with the hope that justice will be given to me for having purchased an expensive N76 NOKIA SET. The set is still with your Service Centre – Poovath International, Kurian Towers, Ernakulam. PHOTOCOPY OF THE SERVICE JOB SHEET NO. 412465550/090429/63 DATED 29.04.2009 IS ENCLOSED FOR YOUR NECESSARY ACTION.
Since the manufacturing defect has been noticed during the guarantee period and that to after six months of purchase, I would request your personal intervention in this case and either handover the set duly repaired in all respects or give me a replacement .
