The Haier washing machine started giving complaints right after 3 days from the purchase date. The machine might have been serviced 8 to 9 times by now for various reasons. Even when it works it wobbles very violently. Many times the spares have to come from Pune or Delhi and it takes a week to 10 days to fix each problem (the machine has had more down time than the days worked). Haier first said that the problem is because of the uneven flooring in my kitchen work area and made me redo them. Then I shelled out another 5K on extended warranty. After this they gave me an attachment for softening water for another 3K. After all this machine keeps konking off. Even now the machine is down for over 10 days. They say some coil has to be changed and you gussed it right they have to come from Pune.
The service center in Chennai does not lift the phone and if they and if we ask unpleasent questions like when our problem will be fixed they bang the phone.
I made the mistake of buying a refrigerator from Haier, the result is that Haier has helped me to compensate the lack of swiming pool in our flat. My wife also makes sure that the kitchen floor is mopped by 6AM everday morning thanks to Haier.
