The quality of the workmanship in the finish work of our town home was shoddy . The paint was overspayed onto the door hardware onto our hardwood floors and tile. The miter joints on the baseboard were cut improperly and filled with calking to hide the errors. We have spent the last 3 months refinishing our trim, repainting the walls and replacing the door hardware. We feel that Portrait Homes is using the customer as their quality control inspectors rather than doing the job correctly the first time.
Solution of your complaint
Portrait Homes needs to show us that they have established quality control precedures that now prevent this type of inferior workmanship does not reach another customer. Quality is not something you ask your customers to inspect into your goods and services. It starts with quality workmen operating with pride and dignity, using quality materials, building a home to established quality standards that the workers and the home buyer can be proud of. Anythig less in unexceptable. We toured through model homes that were finished to totally differently standards than the home we received.
