I have given my car for repair at dewars garage, Kolkata on 02.06.2006. The rear floor panel was badly damaged and needed replacement. The Authorised dealers garage did not have the spare in the stock and hence had requested Maruti regional office for the spare part. Maruti RO forwarded the request for spare to maruti gurgaon factory only on 30.06.2006 ie after placing the spare request on back order twice ( after 2 weeks of receipt of request ). I have been following up with the regional office at kolkata but without much sucess in even knowing the status of spare despatch.
Maruti claims to be the first ranked customer service provider in the country but the ground reality seemed to be far from what it claims. What i dont understand is why do they have a stockist at every region if they do not maintain a proper inventory of spares.
I fail to comprehend the reason for such a delay in supplying a spare part and would like a reply from customer service department on the reason for such delay.
