Sir/ Madam
This is to state you that I Mahmood Alam, on the staff of Victoria Memorial; Kolkata (Ministry of Culture, Central Government) had applied for Tata Indocom Walky. Mr. Dipankar Saha, a representative of M/S. Southern Telecom Services, 8, N.S. Road, Harinavi, Kolkata-148 had come to this office with an offer Plan of Tata Indicom Walky for Rs. 500/-. I showed my interest to apply for it and called Mr. Dipankar Saha to come down to this office to do the necessary procedure. He then sends his colleague Mr. Bapi Mondol to attend me. On 27th October 2005 I applied for TATA Indicom walky phone and submitted relevant documents along with SBI Cheque (No. 835460 dated 28.10.05) of Rs. 500/- in favour of Southern Telecom Services. After a month I was told over telephone by customer care representative, TATA Indicom and later by the Mr. Bapi Mondal that I would not be given the Walky as my BSNL landline bill does not exceed Rs. 700/-. Again on 30.12.05 Mr. Bapi Mondol came to this office requesting me to apply again for Walky as they are very sorry that they could not make me available the Walky last time. On request of Mr. Bapi Mondol I filled the form afresh along with relevant documents. Since then I have not received any response from their end.
I have been making calls to Mr. Bapi Mondol but he does not attend it. Mr. Dipankar and Mr. Somnath of Southern Telecom Services did not give me proper response at first and now they firstly denied that they have accepted any Cheque from my end. When I showed my bank statement to them then they agreed that they have accepted the cheque. I have the bank statement and it clearly indicates that cheque was issued on 28.10.05, which was encashed by Southern Telecom on on 18.11.05.

Unfortunately I have lost the fist bill dated 27.10.05 against which I have the bank statement of cheque of Rs. 500/-(SBI Cheque No. 835460)
Second Bill No. 1831278319. (copy may be given on request)

Now they have totally denied to return my cheque of Rs. 500/- and said that the TATA INDICOM would issue it directly to me and they have no role to play in it.

Therefore I request to kindly look into the matter and do needful so that I get my money as early as possible.
