I had purchased a Marco Ricci shoe for Rs 3685.00. within 2 months of the same the shoe has signs of wear and tear and I gave it back to the show room for replacement/repairs and after 2 weeks of followup I am informed that they need to send the shoe to the factory for repairs and they will not replace the same. the first time it was given for repairs on 30-04-2006.

During this time I tried following up with Payam of ANZ Trading as well as employees at the showroom. the Employees at the showroom simply say that Payam will take a decision and since they are a franchisee they cannot do anything and Payam says that I should talk to the showroom and not to him. I tried contacting Mr Asif and Mr Mansup of ANZ trading and never could get thru their mobile numbers.

Finally I managed to get thru Mr Mahboob the owner of the showroom at InOrbit Mall, Mumbai. He promised to talk to the franchisee and get a solution. After two days of followup he got the shoes repaired locally and returned them to me.

When I went to collect the shoe from the showroom I observed that the new show of the same make and model has totally different insignia and marking from the company. even the leather quality is different. I feel that I have been sold a duplicate shoe or a shoe which does not confirm with the quality of the internationally acclaimed brand of Marco Ricci.
even the wear and tear of the shoe is so much that it very clearly talks about the inferior quality of raw material used to manufacture the shoe.

Now again I am facing the same problem the sole of the shoe from the same place where it was repaired earlier has worn off from the upper part of the shoe. I had to give it back to the showroom on August 12, 2006 and today when I am following up there is no response from the show room. the contact person Zakir is never available to take the call and never calls back.

I will like to get my money back from the company and if possible the money I have spent on calls and making so many trips to that showroom.

It is very sad to know that this is how we treat the international brands once they start their operations in the country.
